David Rapozo

David Rapozo is an accomplished investment-industry executive with more than 25 years of experience building and leading sales organizations at some of the world’s most respected asset-management firms.

Most recently, David served as the Executive Vice President of Business Development at Cap Six. Cap Six is a Houston-based investment advisor combining proprietary technology, data analytics, and human insight to deliver innovative, long-only, actively managed SMAs.

David has also served as Vice President of Business Development for Dimensional Fund Advisors, where he led national RIA and Enterprise-level sales opportunities > $1 billion. During his tenure, David also co-headed Dimensional’s Enterprise RIA Group working with complex, national RIAs. David and his team team expanded sales efforts with Dimensional’s largest client and built out a successful multi-year, scaled strategic engagement plan executed across >40 offices and hundreds of advisors.

Before joining Dimensional, David held sales and senior leadership roles at BlackRock and Barclays Global Investors, where he helped scale the iShares business and led distribution efforts for RIAs in the midwest.

His career began in accounting at Strong Funds and then went on to mutual fund operations Firstar Bank, providing a strong foundation in product, compliance, and operational excellence.

David holds an MBA in International Business from Marquette University and a BA in Accounting from Cardinal Stritch University.

David also proudly served six years in the United States Marine Corps. David’s medals include the Joint Service Achievement Medal, two Good Conduct Medals, the Expeditionary Unit Medal, the National Defense Medal, the Southwest Asia Service Medal, and two Humanitarian Service Medals. As a former U.S. Marine, David brings the discipline, integrity, and service mindset developed in the Corps to every professional engagement.

Today, through Rapozo Ventures LLC, David helps investment professionals and business leaders refine strategy, strengthen communication, and create clarity around growth initiatives—drawing on decades of front-line experience leading national distribution teams across the RIA and IBD channels.
