My first blog
Hi Everyone,
I am very excited to share my first blog post with you all.
It is one of my favorite weeks of the year: Thanksgiving week. I thoroughly enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. Good food and a grateful attitude elevate the experience as well. I am always excited for the Thanksgiving holiday and appreciate the general slowdown in the week as we approach the holiday.
It is in the spirit of the week that I would like to kick off my blog. I am so grateful for my family and friends. I am truly blessed to have such a close family and so many great friends in my life. To Amy, Molly, and Matt, plus all of my friends, thank you, I love you all. You all give my life a deeper meaning and a sense of richness. I cannot thank you enough for the love and support you provide. Thank you.
I am also thankful and filled with gratitude for the relationships I have fostered in the RIA and investment industry over the last 25 years. I have had the opportunity to work in a wonderful field with many wonderful advisors. You may or may not know it, but you all help me learn, invent or re-invent ideas, and most importantly, you all help me grow as a person.
Starting my consulting practice is both terrifying and, at the same time, stimulating. Like most entrepreneurs working in their own business, embracing the fear of the unknown is almost a daily activity, since so many of the tasks are new and unfamiliar.
For example, a blog? Sure, I know what it is. How do I publish it? How do I track it? This has been an awesome learning cycle for me to launch and brand my LLC and website. What an adventure!
What excites me most is how stimulating the work has been. My engagements so far have already changed the way that I think about issues and projects. Consulting forced me to examine problems from multiple angles and drill down on the why and the how. Cal Newport calls this “deep work” in his similarly-titled book. It was that kind of exploration, and the variety of projects I have been fortunate to work on thus far, that ultimately pushed me to start my own practice.
So, what is that project you need to complete before the year ends but you simply cannot find the time to address? How can I help you?
Investment reviews? Sales training? Client segmentation? Website review? Organic growth plan? Referral strategy? Drop me an email at rapozoventuresllc@gmail.com. I would love to help.
My tagline is Trust, Clarity, and Execution, and I chose those words after a long—in fact, way-too-long of a deliberation. If you stick with me for a few more paragraphs, I would love to explain how these limited engagements can be used in your practice. Or maybe that is best left for next week’s blog…
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
P.S.: Shout out to MYH for the nudge and inspiration. ALR thanks for catching the details I sometimes miss. Thank you!
